Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While Hunter will see action at both wide receiver and cornerback, he may not face Burrow too often during the upcoming clash.
He's listed as a starting wideout and second-string corner on the Jaguars' depth chart. Hunter also played 42 offensive snaps compared to just six snaps on defense during Jacksonville's 26-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 1.
It's worth noting that Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said that Hunter's playing time on defense will see a "likely uptick" moving forward, per ESPN's Michael DiRocco.
Given the 22-year-old's two-way capabilities, it's understandable that he's able to track passes and make plays on the ball better than most cornerbacks.
Hunter recorded seven interceptions and 16 passes defended in 22 games during his college career at Colorado, winning the 2024 Heisman Trophy.
As for Burrow, the two-time Pro Bowl passer is looking to take a step forward after a subdued performance in Cincinnati's season-opening 17-16 victory against the Cleveland Browns.
Burrow finished 14-of-23 for a mere 113 yards in the win, tossing one touchdown without turning the ball over.
Kickoff between Cincinnati and Jacksonville on Sunday is at 1 p.m. ET.
