Mercedes Mone Beats Riho to Retain AEW TBS Title at All Out 2025

Mercedes Moné defeated Riho at AEW All Out on Saturday to retain the TBS Championship.

Riho got in plenty of offense, but Mercedes successfully used the referee as a distraction and hit Riho with the Money Maker to win the match.

Entering All Out, Mercedes had held the TBS title for nearly 500 days thanks to successful defenses against many of the top stars in the AEW women's division, but she was faced with one of her toughest challenges yet on Saturday.

On the Sept. 3 episode of Dynamite, Moné beat Alex Windsor to retain the TBS title just over one week after defeating Windsor, Persephone and Bozilla in a four-way match at Forbidden Door.

After her victory, The CEO attacked Windsor, prompting the surprise return of Riho, who took Mercedes out with a double stomp off the ropes and a dropkick.

It marked Riho's first appearance on AEW programming in over a year, as she was last seen beating Lady Frost on a July 2024 episode of Collision.

While Mercedes is undoubtedly the face of the AEW women's division right now along with Toni Storm, a strong argument can be made for that distinction belonging to Riho early in the company's history.

On the debut episode of Dynamite on Oct. 2, 2019, Riho beat Nyla Rose to become the inaugural AEW women's world champion.

Riho held the title for 133 days before dropping it to Nyla, and entering All Out, she had not held a championship of any kind in AEW since then.

While Moné has been nearly unbeatable since joining AEW last year, she did lose an AEW women's world title match to Storm and has yet to hold the title that Riho won first.

At All Out, Riho had a chance to become the first person to ever hold both the TBS and AEW Women's World Championships, but Mercedes prevailed and showed why she is atop the mountain.
