CM Punk, AJ Lee Beat Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch at WWE Wrestlepalooza in AJ's Return

Competing in her first match in over a decade, AJ Lee teamed with CM Punk to beat Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at WWE Wrestlepalooza on Saturday.

Punk and Rollins have been at odds since Punk returned to WWE in November 2023, but another wrinkle was added to their rivalry during a World Heavyweight Championship bout at Clash in Paris.

Amid a Fatal 4-Way that also included Jey Uso and LA Knight, Punk appeared en route to victory until a masked person entered the ring and hit him with a low blow, allowing Rollins to take advantage and win the match to retain.

The masked assailant was revealed to be Rollins' wife, Lynch, marking their first on-screen alliance since 2019.

A furious Punk called out Rollins on the ensuing episode of Raw, but he was interrupted by Becky instead. The Man proceeded to berate Punk before slapping him over and over again.

At that point, Punk vowed to get revenge on Rollins and to make sure Lynch would regret laying her hands on him.

The Sept. 5 episode of SmackDown was in Punk's hometown of Chicago, so it came as little surprise that he showed up to continue his feud with Rollins and Lynch, but he didn't show up alone.

Punk revealed that he had enlisted some help in his conflict with the husband-wife pairing, leading to the first appearance on WWE programming by his wife, AJ, since 2015.

Lee jumped on Lynch and started punching away before she retreated and got pulled to safety by Rollins. AJ then ended the segment by stealing Becky's Women's Intercontinental Championship.

On the following episode of Raw, Lynch and Rollins demanded that Lee give the title back, but the three-time Divas champion refused unless they agreed to a tag team match at Wrestlepalooza.

They initially refused, and Rollins went into the ring to take the belt back, but he was cut off by Punk, who nearly hit him with a GTS before Rollins slithered away.

An enraged Rollins then agreed to the tag team match, much to the chagrin of Lynch, prompting AJ to throw the women's IC title belt back to Becky.

In her first wrestling match since 2015, AJ came out on top Saturday along with Punk, perhaps earning them future title shots for the Women's Intercontinental and World Heavyweight Championships.
