Caleb Williams Sports Brian Urlacher Jersey on Video Ahead of Bears vs. Vikings

Caleb Williams gave a nod to a franchise legend ahead of the Chicago Bears' season opener.

The second-year quarterback arrived to Soldier Field sporting a Brian Urlacher jersey before the start of the Bears' Monday Night Football contests against the Minnesota Vikings.

It comes ahead of a highly anticipated game for the Bears to start the 2025 season. Bettors are also excited about the final game of the Week 1 slate:

Williams, meanwhile, is getting ready for the moment with one of the top players in the franchise's recent history. Urlacher, a first-round draft pick in 2000, spent his entire 13-year career with the Bears. He was the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2000 and was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2005.

The Hall of Fame linebacker racked up 1,361 tackles, 41.5 sacks, 90 pass deflections, 22 interceptions and 11 forced fumbles.

Urlacher is one of the best players to put on a Bears uniform over the last few decades. While Williams is under center rather than playing on the defensive side, he's looking to find similar success in Chicago.

The former No. 1 overall pick had a solid rookie year, throwing for 3,541 yards, 20 touchdowns and six interceptions, adding 489 yards on the ground. While Williams looked good in his debut season, the Bears struggled, finishing 5-12.

On Monday, they'll enter a new era under head coach Ben Johnson, who spent the last few years putting together one of the best offenses in the league in Detroit.

Now taking over as a head coach for the first time, Johnson will look to lead Williams and the Bears to success, starting with a matchup against their divisional rival.
