Jake Paul Shades Mike Tyson vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. Fight, Says It Will Be 'Boring'
While the announced exhibition fight between legendary boxers Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather generated some excitement, Jake Paul isn't among those looking forward to the bout.
Paul expressed disinterest in the fight between Tyson and Mayweather during an appearance on Front Office Sports Today.
"I'm not super interested in it. I think they're both gonna make a bunch of money, which is great for both of them, but I think it's going to be a boring fight," Paul said (16:35 in video). "We've seen Floyd's fighting style, it's pretty boring."
Paul, who faced Tyson in November in the first combat sports event to be streamed live on Netflix, added that he feels fans won't be interesting in watching another spectacle.
"Obviously, I want it to do the best it can for the sport of boxing, but I think people want to see different fights now," he said. "We've had the entertainment side of things, me and Mike did it, and it's sort of old news now."
ESPN's Andreas Hale noted that details regarding a location, date and where the fight between Tyson and Mayweather will be broadcast have yet to be determined. Still, it can be expected that the two Hall of Famers will draw a massive audience for their upcoming event.
