Bills Fan Banned for Shoving Ravens' Lamar Jackson, De'Andre Hopkins in Viral Video
The Buffalo Bills fan who shoved Baltimore Ravens players Lamar Jackson and DeAndre Hopkins during Sunday's game will not be attending any more NFL games for the foreseeable future.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday that a Bills team official said the fan, who was ejected following the shoves, was "indefinitely banned from Bills and NFL stadiums."
The incident became even more noteworthy during Sunday's game when Jackson shoved the fan in return.
"I seen him slap D-Hop ... and he slapped me and he talking, so you know I just forgot where I was for a little bit," Jackson told reporters after the game.
"But you got to think in those situations. You have security out there. Let security handle it. But I just let my emotions get the best of me. Hopefully, it don't happen again. I learned from that."
The incident occurred as the Ravens were celebrating Hopkins' incredible one-handed catch for a touchdown that put the visitors ahead 34-19. The fan reached out and hit the receiver and Jackson as Baltimore players walked past the crowd.
It seemed at that time like the AFC North team would be celebrating well after the game.
After all, Jackson and Derrick Henry looked unstoppable for much of the contest, and the latter's 46-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter extended the lead back to 15 points at 40-25. However, the rest of the game belonged to the Bills.
Josh Allen directed two touchdown drives in the final 12 minutes, the second of which came on a short field after Henry lost a fumble. It cut the deficit to two points, but the Ravens still had the opportunity to run the clock out in the final two minutes.
Instead, they went three-and-out and gave Allen one more chance, which he converted into a long drive that ended with Matt Prater's game-winning field goal. Buffalo won 41-40 in what could be the game of the season even though it was just Week 1.
More importantly, it gives the Bills the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Ravens in what figures to be a tight race for the AFC's top playoff spots.
And the fan who was ejected missed the entire comeback.
