Week 2 Waiver Wire Pickups Highlighted by Daniel Jones, Trey Benson, Quentin Johnston
A few months ago, Daniel Jones wasn't even expected to play in Week 1.
After Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts quarterback looks like he could be a viable reserve option on fantasy football rosters.
Jones' 272-yard performance against the Miami Dolphins was still only one game, but it was a positive sign for fantasy football players who may need to swap out their backup quarterbacks following Week 1.
Quentin Johnston's been in the fantasy dog house for a while as well due to his lack of consistency, but his two-score showing on Friday in Brazil showed that he could be a go-to guy for Justin Herbert in the Los Angeles Chargers offense.

Daniel Jones unleashed a 272-yard performance on the Miami Dolphins defense.
The former New York Giants signal-caller completed 75 percent of his passes, threw one touchdown and ran in two more scores.
Jones should at least be on the radar of fantasy players who need to replace underperforming quarterbacks.
It might even be worth adding Jones now to be the backup or spot-starter on fantasy teams because he displayed so much promise inside the Colts offense.
The Colts' Week 2 matchup with the Denver Broncos isn't great, so that should cool Jones' stock a bit, but two games against the Tennessee Titans in the six weeks after and a few other easier contests make Jones an intriguing waiver-wire addition.
Trey Benson

Trey Benson averaged 8.6 yards per carry in the Arizona Cardinals' season opener.
Benson totaled 69 yards on eight carries in the win over the New Orleans Saints.
He's still the No. 2 option to James Conner, but it appears Benson will get more share in the ground attack than he did in 2024.
Benson only had eight or more carries on four occasions last season. He only had three rushes in the 2024 season opener.
All signs are pointing to Benson holding a larger role inside the Arizona offense, and with that in mind, the time is now to strike on the waiver wire before everyone else in your fantasy leagues finds out about him.
Quentin Johnston

Quentin Johnston was the star of Friday's Chargers win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
The third-year wide out caught five balls for 79 yards and found the end zone on two occasions.
A year ago, Johnston caught eight touchdown passes, but the yardage production was not there to consistently complement the scores.
The two-touchdown outing plus the 79 yards to go with it are a positive side that Johnston will be a more well-rounded player in 2025.
He still has to compete with Ladd McConkey and Keenan Allen for targets, but Justin Herbert proved on Friday that he could spread the ball to all three wide outs.
That might be the biggest positive from Friday, and if the production continues to be spread out, Johnston will be a more viable fantasy player in 2025.
Keon Coleman

A breakout season appears to be on the horizon for Keon Coleman.
The second-year wide receiver caught eight balls for 112 yards and a touchdown in the Buffalo Bills' come-from-behind win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night.
Coleman beat out Khalil Shakir, Buffalo's No. 1 wide out, in catches, targets and yards.
That could change from week-to-week, but what is more certain is Coleman's elevated role in the Buffalo offense.
Coleman only had one 100-yard performance in his rookie season. He might double that total before the Bills' Week 7 bye.
Buffalo has a few favorable matchups ahead versus the the Jets, Dolphins, Patriots and Saints that could give Coleman a handful of robust statistics going into the bye.
