Travis Hunter Explains Getting Haircut for Historic NFL Debut, 'Time to Let It Go'
Travis Hunter's NFL debut on Sunday included a brand new haircut, as the Jacksonville Jaguars wideout and cornerback shaved off his dreads.
"It was just time," he told reporters. "Time to let it go. New me, new person. Welcome to a new chapter in my life. Just chop it off."

Strength of Schedule for Every Team
Hunter finished the contest with six catches for 33 yards on offense and a tackle, though he was barely a two-way player, with 44 snaps on offense and just six snaps on defense. Head coach Liam Coen told reporters that Hunter missing the team's second preseason game and a number of practices over the summer, combined with needed coverage adjustments due to playing the Carolina Panthers, led to a lighter defensive workload for Hunter on Sunday.
"I did my job," the rookie added. "That was the main focus, me doing my job. I did what they asked me to do, and I know I could do more and I know I could do better."
More defensive snaps will come in the future. The dreads, however, are a thing of the past.
