Giants Fans Want Dart Over Russell Wilson After Loss vs. Jayden, Deebo, Commanders
In eerily similar fashion to the preseason, New York Giants fans are calling for Jaxson Dart to take over as QB1 after the team's offensive struggles continued in a road loss to Jayden Daniels, Deebo Samuel and the Washington Commanders, 21-6, on Sunday.
Russell Wilson finished the game completing 17-of-37 passes for 168 yards, adding 44 yards on the ground. Kicker Graham Gano accounted for all of New York's points, converting two field goals to keep the Giants within reach.
Wide receiver Malik Nabers recorded five receptions for 71 yards, while Wan'Dale Robinson added six catches for 55 yards. Rookie Cam Skattebo, out of Arizona State, caught two passes for 12 yards but struggled in the ground game.

Dart turned heads during the preseason, completing 32-of-47 passes (68 percent) for 372 yards, three touchdowns, 47 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown and no interceptions over his first three games. The 22-year-old's performance fueled speculation that he could challenge Wilson for the starting job.
Now, after a disappointing season opener, the veteran's job security may be in jeopardy as social media erupts with support for the former Ole Miss quarterback to take over.
On the other side of the field, Daniels and the Washington Commanders impressed in their season debut — especially on defense — holding the Giants out of the end zone for the entire game.
Daniels completed 19-of-30 passes for 233 yards and a touchdown, adding 68 rushing yards. He connected with tight end Zach Ertz, who had three receptions for 26 yards and the team's lone receiving touchdown. Samuel scored on his only carry and added seven catches for 77 yards. Jacory Croskey-Merritt carried the ball 10 times for 82 yards and a touchdown.
The Giants will travel to face the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday, as fans continue to call for a change at quarterback.
