Aaron Rodgers Says 'I Love' Steelers After Revenge-Game Win vs. Justin Fields, Jets
Aaron Rodgers is all in on his new team after starting the season with a win over his former squad.
After the Pittsburgh Steelers' 34-32 win over the New York Jets, the veteran quarterback had high praise for his teammates.
"I love these guys. I love the organization," Rodgers said. "I love them taking a chance on bringing me in and believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be out here with my guys. There's no greater feeling than being on the field and being able to compete."

Aside from getting the win, Rodgers had the chance to talk to some familiar faces, including the team's equipment staff and the current visiting locker room attendant, Karan Patel.
After the way Rodgers' tenure with the Jets ended, there was plenty of pressure on him to perform well and pick up a win in the stadium he called home for two seasons. Rodgers delivered with a vintage performance, throwing for 244 yards and four touchdowns on 22-of-30 passing.
It was the first time he's had four touchdowns without an interception in a game since 2021.
Rodgers credited his new offensive coordinator, Arthur Smith, for his performance against the Jets.
"There's a lot of garbage being talked about myself or Arthur [Smith] ... how we're going to coexist," he said. "We've got a great relationship. He called a really good game. I gotta play a little better in spots, but happy to be 1-0."
Rodgers' revenge game against the Jets was one of the biggest storylines heading into the week, but he made it clear throughout the offseason that he wasn't going to treat the matchup like anything other than a regular-season game.
"Probably nowhere near where it might be made out," Rodgers said on Mad Dog Sports Radio in August. "A lot has changed over there — coaching staff wise, player wise. Obviously I have friendships over there, but it's one game out of 17. At 5 o'clock eastern on that Sunday, it's only going to be on to the next game. That's just the way it is."
Revenge game or not, Rodgers and the Steelers started the year off the right way and will look to improve to 2-0 against the Seattle Seahawks next week.
