Two members of the Marquette men's lacrosse team were killed Friday night in a car accident.

University president Kimo Ah Yun confirmed Noah Snyder and Scott Michaud died in the crash.

Marquette, which initially didn't identify Snyder and Michaud, said three other lacrosse players were hospitalized as a result of the accident. According to the Associated Press, a fourth person was treated and none of the four is believed to have life-threatening injuries.

Snyder was a sophomore attackman who had nine goals and seven assists in 13 appearances for the Golden Eagles last season. Michaud, also a sophomore, was a backup goalie.

Both were selected to the Big East's All-Academic team for the 2024-25 school year.
