Micah Parsons Reportedly Expected to Make Packers Debut vs. Lions amid Back Injury
Micah Parsons is reportedly in line to make his Green Bay Packers debut in Week 1.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Parsons is expected to suit up for the Packers' matchup with the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
The star pass-rusher will be on a snap count during a "ramp-up period" to open his career in Green Bay, per Rapoport.

Parsons is currently listed as questionable to play against the Lions due to a facet joint sprain in his back.
The four-time Pro Bowler was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Expectations are high for Parsons, who was acquired in a blockbuster trade with the Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 28. Green Bay sent defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks to Dallas in return.
Parsons then signed a massive four-year, $188 million contract with the Packers.
While the team certainly wants to be cautious with his health and avoid a potential aggravation of the injury, his presence on the field will be crucial for a divisional matchup to start the year.
The Packers have made the playoffs in each of the past two seasons, but they've finished behind the Lions in the NFC North standings in both years.
Parsons could help change that, as he's established himself as one of the NFL's top defensive players throughout his first four years in the league.
He's recorded at least 12 sacks in every season of his career and is coming off a 2024 campaign in which he amassed 46 pressures, 43 tackles, 23 quarterback hits, 12 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.
Rapoport noted that Parsons has already made a strong first impression in Green Bay and the team views him as a "smart, savvy player whose leadership and effort are evident."
Kickoff between the Packers and Lions on Sunday is at 4:25 p.m. ET.
