Jalen Carter Reportedly Won't Face Ban, Expected to Get Big Fine for Spitting on Dak
At the very least, Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter is looking at a sizable fine for spitting on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, according to CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones.
Jones reported Saturday the NFL is expected to fine Carter "to the tune of five figures."
According to USA Today's Mike Freeman and Jarrett Bell, a league official said that "a suspension for Carter isn't on the table."

Carter and Prescott squared up prior to the first play from scrimmage in Philly's 24-20 win. The 2024 Pro Bowler spit on Prescott's chest, which earned him an automatic ejection.
While nobody is arguing with the penalty call, some began to view the situation a little differently once new evidence presented itself. The NBC broadcast picked up Prescott seemingly spitting toward the ground near Carter's feet.
Jones pointed out how there's a notable financial aspect to this.
"According to the terms of his contract, the remaining base salaries for 2025 and 2026, as well as the roster bonuses this year and next, would automatically void should the NFL suspend Carter," the NFL insider wrote.
Jones added that the Eagles almost certainly won't do anything radical regarding Carter's contract in the event he did get suspended. He's too valuable a member of their defense to fully void any portion of his deal. What money is no longer guaranteed he can still collect anyway, so the net effect is negligible.
Still, the 24-year-old's bank account is going to be a little lighter when the NFL makes its final ruling.
