Chiefs Stun NFL Fans with 'Fire Drill' FG to End 1st Half on Video vs. Chargers
The Kansas City Chiefs set up a field goal in less than 15 seconds with no timeouts to beat the halftime buzzer in Friday's season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil.
Harrison Butker completed the fire drill with a 59-yard field goal.
The Chiefs still faced a 13-6 deficit to the Chargers heading into the second half.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
NFL fans were impressed by the efficiency the Chiefs' field goal unit displayed to end the quarter.
The last-second field goal came after Chargers running back Omarion Hampton stepped out of bounds with 50 seconds left on the clock to give the Chiefs time for one more drive to close out the half.
Mahomes was unable to lead the Chiefs on their first touchdown drive of the night, and the possession stalled out with a short pass to tight end Noah Gray on a third-and-20 with about 15 seconds left on the clock.
That was when the Chiefs field goal unit showed off their speed in order to get another three points on the board for Kansas City.
The 59-yard field goal was a bright spot in what was otherwise a frustrating two quarters for the Chiefs offense, which did not convert on third down for the entirety of the first half.
This marked the second consecutive game in which Kansas City went a full opening half without a first down, following the offense's 0-for-6 effort through two quarters of their Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, per ESPN's Bill Barnwell.
Mahomes will hope to help the Chiefs add a touchdown to the first half's pair of field goals as Friday's season opener continues in Brazil.
