Ashton Jeanty Says Viral 'Michael Myers' Stance Will Return, 'It's Too Legendary'
Las Vegas Raiders rookie Ashton Jeanty won't be using his popular "Michael Myers" stance in the backfield as he begins his NFL career, but he intends to bring it back after establishing himself in the pros.
Speaking to GQ's Adam Caparell, Jeanty revealed the stance will return at some point because "it's too legendary" to stay retired for good.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The first-year running back told Caparell that Raiders offensive coordinator Chip Kelly wants him to use the traditional hands-on-thighs stance when he's in the backfield.
Jeanty isn't opposed to the traditional stance—Raiders fans have taken to calling him the Silver Surfer—but he prefers the old model.
"I like it—but Michael Myers is better. .... I gotta have a great rookie season, then I can sneak it in there," Jeanty told Caparell.
One hallmark of Jeanty's tenure at Boise State was the way he lined up in the backfield. He stood straight up and perfectly still, which fans noted made him look like Michael Myers from Halloween.
The comparison caught on so well that Jeanty even dressed up as the iconic horror villain.
Even though the stance is unorthodox, Jeanty certainly made it work. He had one of the best seasons ever by a running back in college football history with 2,601 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns for Boise State in 2024.
The Raiders made a big bet on Jeanty being a force in the NFL by selecting him with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 draft. He is set to make his first career start on Sunday against the New England Patriots.
Who knows? If Jeanty comes out of the gate with 150 yards and a couple of touchdowns against the Patriots, maybe he will break out the Michael Myers pose as soon as Week 2.
