The Packers acquired the star pass-rusher in a blockbuster trade with the Cowboys on Aug. 28, with defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks heading to Dallas in return.
The four-time Pro Bowler should provide a major boost to Green Bay's front seven, amassing 52.5 sacks in 63 career games. Parsons is coming off a 2024 campaign in which he recorded 43 tackles, 46 pressures, 23 quarterback hits, 12 sacks and two forced fumbles across 13 appearances.
He appears to be ready for an immediate introduction to NFC North football, as the Packers will face the Lions in a season-opener for the first time since 2005.
Green Bay holds a 104-78-7 record in the all-time rivalry between the two teams, although Detroit has won six of the past eight matchups.
Parsons only faced the Lions twice during his tenure with the Cowboys, winning both games. He racked up 12 tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble against Detroit.
It's worth noting that the Lions secured a lopsided 47-9 win over the Cowboys last season, but Parsons didn't suit up due to an ankle injury.
He's reportedly been limited leading up to Green Bay's season-opener due to an L4/L5 facet joint sprain in his back. There's an expectation that Parsons will be able to play against Detroit, though.
Kickoff between the Packers and Lions is on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
