Steelers' Aaron Rodgers Won't Discuss Revenge Game Factor vs. Jets, 'It's Week 1'
Aaron Rodgers begins the season with a matchup against his former team, but he's not making it out to be more than it is.
Ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers' season opener against the New York Jets, Rodgers was asked whether there was anything more to this particular contest.
"Yeah," he told reporters, "it's Week 1."

When asked about what his emotions will be like as he enters MetLife Stadium, Rodgers added, "I'd just be excited for Week 1."
Rodgers spent two seasons with the Jets, the first of which lasted less than a full drive as the veteran quarterback suffered a torn Achilles in Week 1. His second and final season saw New York go 5-12, firing head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas along the way.
Rodgers' time with Jets came to an end in March when they released him.
While his time in New York didn't end on the best of terms, Rodgers has been consistent in saying that the Week 1 matchup won't be the big deal that some might make it.
"Probably nowhere near where it might be made out," Rodgers said on Mad Dog Sports Radio last month. "A lot has changed over there — coaching staff-wise, player-wise. Obviously I have friendships over there, but it's one game out of 17. At 5 o'clock eastern on that Sunday, it's only going to be on to the next game. That's just the way it is."
Revenge game or not, Rodgers and the Steelers will look to start their season with a win on Sunday.
