Bills HBO 'Hard Knocks' 2025 Best Fan Tweets, Memes from Episode 5
The roster is set and the mission is clear for the Buffalo Bills.
That mission? Win the first Super Bowl in franchise history.
The urgency of the moment for the 2025 Bills was perfectly clear during the final episode of HBO's Hard Knocks that chronicled training camp and preseason for the five-time reigning AFC East champions.

Whether it was Josh Allen talking about how he visualizes the parade in the city of Buffalo as he lifts the Lombardi Trophy, a collection of players talking about how things are different with the Bills compared to other teams or head coach Sean McDermott stressing the importance of everyone's role down to the practice squad, all eyes were on the prize.
Allen also provided a review of his wife Hailee Steinfeld's movie Sinners when he said, "hopefully with award season coming around, people make the right decisions."
It was among the many notable moments in the episode:
While other episodes have built toward a preseason game, there were none on the docket Tuesday. Instead, the roster was finalized ahead of the highly anticipated season opener against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.
That meant Hard Knocks favorites such as Casey Rogers, KJ Hamler, Frank Gore Jr., Zach Davidson and Jimmy Ciarlo not making the roster, although Joe "Buffalo Joe" Andreessen and Ja'Marcus Ingram did.
It wasn't all bad news for those who were cut, as Ciarlo and Gore made the practice squad. The former's emotional call to his father to break the news was one of the highlights of the entire Hard Knocks season.
Old friend Jordan Poyer, who was a Pro Bowler and First-Team All-Pro selection during his first stint with the Bills that lasted from 2017 through 2023, also made the practice squad and made it clear how much he missed Buffalo when he was gone.
It wouldn't be a Hard Knocks episode without some light-hearted moments, and there were plenty of them Tuesday. Ingram's painting, Ty Johnson's line dancing, Gore's McDonalds order, and Dion Dawkins and Ed Oliver visiting with fans at a car show eased the tension that comes with a Super Bowl or bust mentality.
Now that all the on- and off-field activities are in the rearview mirror, the Bills can turn their attention toward living up to those Super Bowl expectations.
