Jaylen Warren Will Be Steelers' 'Featured Runner' amid Fantasy Football Projections
After taking a backseat to Najee Harris over the last three seasons, Jaylen Warren's time to shine for the Pittsburgh Steelers could finally be here.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Warren will be the team's "featured runner" this season over Kaleb Johnson and Kenneth Gainwell.
"His progress has been very evident and he's to be congratulated," Tomlin said. "...Certainly he'll be our featured runner. Certainly you'll see [Kaleb Johnson/Kenneth Gainwell], but at what time and at what degree [will depend week-to-week]."

Warren, who signed with the Steelers after going undrafted in 2022, has managed to stay productive through his first three seasons despite not being Pittsburgh's starter. In 2023, he logged 784 yards and four touchdowns. Last season, he picked up 511 yards and a touchdown in 15 games, adding 310 yards through the air.
Considering how well Warren has performed without being the premier running back in the Steelers' offense, he could be in for a big fantasy year if he can stay healthy and keep his role as Pittsburgh's starter.
