Hunter Renfrow Missed Calls About Panthers Contract as Daughters Watched 'Bluey'
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Hunter Renfrow had a unique reason for missing calls from the team before he was eventually brought back ahead of the 2025 season.
Renfrow revealed that he failed to answer calls from Carolina because he was picking up a trailer at a recycling business he runs with his uncle, and his daughter was watching the animated children's television series "Bluey" on his phone in a car nearby.
"They were all just ignored," Renfrow said, per ESPN's David Newton. "My daughter was watching 'Bluey' or something. She ignored all of them."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Panthers general manager Dan Morgan and head coach Dave Canales were among those who unsuccessfully tried to contact Renfrow before he retrieved his phone.
The 29-year-old initially joined Carolina as a free agent in April, but didn't make the team's 53-man roster.
The Panthers eventually re-signed Renfrow on Saturday after fellow receiver Jalen Coker was placed on injured reserve with a quad injury.
Renfrow was initially selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with a fifth-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft. He finished with 2,884 yards during his five years with the team, earning a Pro Bowl nod in 2021 for hauling in 103 receptions for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns.
Despite Renfrow's delayed response to Carolina, he's back with the team in a depth role and could end up making his first appearance in a regular-season game since the 2023 season.
