Examining Fantasy Football Week 1 Trade Market for Top 100 Flex NFL Players

Timothy RappSep 4, 2025

We are so back.

The NFL season kicks off on Thursday night with the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the Dallas Cowboys, your fantasy drafts have wrapped and that can mean only one thing—it's time to dust off the weekly trade value chart.

While you might not be ready to make any deals just yet, hoping to see how your roster looks a few weeks from now, it's never too early to pounce on a bargain if one presents itself.

That's where the value chart comes in handy, allowing you to ensure you are getting the best possible value. As always, keep your league's unique rules and roster requirements in mind when determining value (the trade value chart is composed with PPR in mind). Any player not listed has a value of one.

And of course... may the fantasy points be with you!

Analysis

21 of 21
Browns Football

You might have noticed that the trade chart doesn't value the quarterback position all that highly in general. The reason? There is a ton of depth, and likely will be a ton of parity, once you get past the top five options.

Last season, the difference between QB6 (Jared Goff) and QB16 (Caleb Williams) was 69.9 points, or 4.1 points per game. The difference between Goff and last season's QB1, Lamar Jackson, was 105.9 points, or 6.2 points per game.

Every season is different, of course, but there is a lot of intriguing depth at quarterback this season, which is why one extremely viable draft strategy was to wait on quarterback and select a few upside options later on.

So, unless you are getting a truly top fantasy option at the position, there's little reason to overpay in any potential trades.

Njoku might feel a touch high on the trade value chart to you, but consider this: In six games (including the playoffs) with Flacco under center in 2023—when the pair were first teammates in Cleveland—Njoku registered 37 catches for 483 yards and four touchdowns.

If you average that out over a 17-game season, it's a pace of 104 receptions for 1,368 yards and 11 touchdowns. That is elite production. Now, we will add some caveats—it's a small sample size, Flacco probably won't start the entire season with Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders waiting in the wings and putting too much trust in anybody from this Cleveland offense feels... perilous.

But Njoku is a good bet to be a TE1 regardless, and as long as Flacco is running things, he has sneaky high upside.
