Edgerrin Cooper Says Packers Can Give Opponents 'Nightmares' After Micah Parsons Trade
Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper is excited about pairing with Micah Parsons this season after the Green Bay Packers shockingly landed him in a trade with the Dallas Cowboys last week.
"Nightmares for the opposite side of the ball," he told reporters when asked what pairing with Parsons would mean this season. "[Defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley's] gonna have a pretty good time with us, so looking forward to that."

"From my perspective, offenses can't focus on one type of blitzer, one type of pass-rusher," he added. "We've got guys coming from both sides."
Parsons' pedigree is well-known, with 52.5 sacks in his four seasons, but the 23-year-old Cooper could be in line for a breakout year after a promising rookie campaign in 2024 (87 tackles, 3.5 sacks, one interception, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries).
Certainly, the Packers are plenty excited about the defensive playmakers they have on the roster heading into the season.
"It's scary. It's for sure scary with the pieces that we have," defensive end Rashan Gary told reporters. "The guys that we have, especially with the mindsets we all have. Especially talking to him today, we're kind of similar persons in terms of mindset. So, it's going to be scary for teams, for sure."
