CeeDee Lamb Reflects on Micah Parsons Cowboys-Packers Trade, 'It Sucked'
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was apparently unhappy to see his former teammate Micah Parsons traded to the Green Bay Packers ahead of the 2025 season.
"Honestly, it sucked," Lamb said Monday about the trade, per Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News. "A lot of people on the team were really close with Micah, and he was really good with a lot of people. He can relate to a lot of people. He loved to compete."
Lamb continued, per Watkins: "I wouldn't say it was easy for us to move on, nor would I say it's hard. It sucks. It's just like a repetitive thought. Granted, we did a get a great player in Kenny Clark. Let's not override that."

The wideout added that matching up with Parsons and the Packers in Week 4 would be "the worst" and "weird," per ESPN's Todd Archer.
"It's going to be conflicting, and I hope he's not in the backfield in two seconds," Lamb said, per Archer.
The Cowboys received two first-round picks and Clark in exchange for Parsons, who subsequently agreed to a four-year extension in Green Bay that will make him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
"Obviously, wishing him the best and hope he has the best season ever," Lamb concluded, per Cowboys reporter Patrik Walker. "He's Micah Parsons. He's unblockable, unstoppable."
Lamb initially responded to the news of the Parsons trade with a single smiling, crying emoji.
The wide receiver has been publicly against a Parsons trade since rumors regarding the star defensive end began cropping up earlier this year.
Lamb responded to early trade rumors in February by asking why people weren't "tired" of discussing a potential Parsons move.
When Parsons announced Aug. 1 on social media that he had informed the Cowboys he wanted a trade, Lamb posted: "Never fails dawg. Just pay the man what you owe em. No need for the extra curricular."
Lamb's negative reaction to the trade differed somewhat from that of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who said it would have been difficult to head into the 2025 season without finding a solution to the contract stalemate that had led to Parsons sitting out throughout training camp.
"If nothing would have been done, we'd sit here, and y'all still would have been asking me whether he was playing in a couple days... That would have been a lot more of a headache and distraction than getting a solution to it," Prescott said Sunday.
Prescott concluded, "It's just good to be past it. And as I said, both parties are happy."
The Cowboys kick off the 2025 season on Thursday and will later reunite with Parsons when welcoming the Packers to Dallas on Sept. 28.
