Tom Brady Says He Changes Channel Whenever Super Bowl Losses to Giants, Eagles Pop Up

Andrew PetersSep 1, 2025

Tom Brady ended his NFL career with seven Super Bowl victories, but the Super Bowls he lost still haunt the legendary quarterback.

In an interview with PFF's Chris Collinsworth, Brady said he's still bothered by Super Bowl losses to the New York Giants in 2007 and 2011 and his loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017.

"Those Super Bowl losses were the worst of my life. All three of them," Brady said (42:20 mark). "I thought they were nightmares, I still think about them, they still bother me. If they come up on television, I turn the channel as fast I can. I don't want to see it, I don't want to hear about Nick Foles, I don't want to hear about Eli Manning. That's just the way it is."

One might assume that a player like Brady, who boasts five Super Bowl MVPs and three NFL MVPs, wouldn't stress about the few times he came up short, but the fact that he obsessed over losses is perhaps what made him so successful during his playing days.

Now retired, Brady doesn't have to stress about his losses too much, but he's still not interested in watching his Super Bowl shortcomings.
