The Los Angeles Sparks kept their playoff hopes alive for at least one more night with an 81-78 win over the Washington Mystics on Sunday.
The Sparks used a balanced attack to end their two-game skid. Dearica Hamby led the way with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Kelsey Plum had 18 points and star rookie Rickea Jackson added 16 points.
Second-year Sparks forward Cameron Brink continued to work her way into form, though she struggled a bit in her brief time on the floor. In 12 minutes off the bench, Brink had five points, two rebounds, two assists and a block while shooting 2-of-8 from the field and 1-of-5 from three-point range.
