Eagles' Jordan Mailata Jokes Cowboys' Micah Parsons Trade Brought 'Sigh of Relief'
The Dallas Cowboys shockingly traded Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers this past week, and it's probably not a great sign for 'Dem Cowboys that players from within the division are plenty happy to see him go.
"A sigh of relief," Philadelphia Eagles star left tackle Jordan Mailata told reporters, laughing, when asked what it was like preparing for a Week 1 matchup with the Cowboys now that Parsons is gone. "I say that as a joke, but at the same time, it's just kinda crazy. For the last four, five years we've played the Cowboys, we've come up with a game plan, because Micah's a gamer. So it is a sigh of relief that you don't have to plan like that anymore. However, that is a talented D-line and talented defense, so you've got to treat them with the same respect with or without Parsons."

Inside Top NFL Prospect Getting Drafted
A sigh of relief in Philly, Washington D.C. and New York. A sigh of despair in Dallas.
Mailata and the Eagles are plenty familiar with the impact Parsons can have rushing the passer. In seven career games against the Birds, Parsons has managed five sacks, and the Eagles have had one of the stronger offensive lines in football during that time period.
Perhaps no team in the division is happier than the Commanders, however. In eight career games against Washington, Parsons accumulated 10.5 sacks. Now it will be the Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings who have to deal with him twice a season.
