Kamil Majchrzak Takes Photo with Kid Who Had Hat Taken from Him in Viral US Open Video

Kamil Majchrzak reunited with a young fan who had a gifted hat taken away from him following one of his matches at the 2025 US Open.

Majchrzak shared his experience meeting the fan on his Instagram story, presenting him with new merchandise and taking photos with him.

After Majchrzak attempted to hand the child his hat following an earlier match in the tournament, the item was surprisingly taken away by an older fan in a viral video.

The man was later identified as paving company CEO Piotr Szczerek, via the New York Post's Chris Harris, Bridget Reilly, Anna Young and Shane Galvin.

Majchrzak later explained that he didn't recognize the situation as it was happening and attempted to get in contact with the young fan on Instagram.

Majchrzak told the New York Post that he gave Szczerek the fan's contact information, as the CEO "wanted to make things right."

Majchrzak put together a strong run at the US Open, defeating Hugo Dellien in four sets during the first round before securing an upset victory over Karen Khachanov in the second round.

He trailed Leandro Riedi 5-3 in the first set of the third round before he retired due to an injury.

While Majchrzak's 2025 US Open run didn't end the way he intended it to, he still wrapped up the tournament with a kind gesture to a fan.
