NFL Insider Names Jakobi Meyers 'A Name to Watch' for Jets amid Raiders Trade Rumors
The New York Jets aren't exactly loaded at wide receiver behind Garrett Wilson, with Josh Reynolds, Allen Lazard, Xavier Gipson and rookie Arian Smith rounding out those options.
But the team could yet look to outside help. Per ESPN's Rich Cimini, "One receiver who might be available is Jakobi Meyers, who reportedly wants the Las Vegas Raiders to trade him. Jets passing game coordinator Scott Turner, a Las Vegas Raiders assistant the previous two seasons, spoke glowingly of Meyers last December: 'I tell people all the time, he's one of my favorite players that I've ever coached.'"

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The 28-year-old Meyers would certainly be an upgrade. He's coming off a career year (87 catches for 1,027 yards and four scores in 15 games) and has consistently produced (five straight seasons with 700 or more receiving yards, four straight going over 800 yards).
Granted, the Jets may be more of a running team this season with a dynamic athlete at quarterback in Justin Fields and an excellent one-two punch at running back in Breece Hall and Braelon Allen. The team also drafted tight end Mason Taylor in the second round, who figures to play a big role immediately.
So giving assets for a receiver in Meyers who will want an extension may not be on the docket. The Raiders also don't seem inclined to trade him. But it's a situation worth monitoring for the wideout-needy Jets.
