Miguel Angel Jimenez Loosens Up, Stows Cigar at Open Championship
Spanish leather genie Miguel Angel Jimenez teed off in the first round of The Open Championship on Thursday morning but not before getting in the stretching necessary for a 51-year-old international man of mystery to excel at his golfing day job.
The European Tour Performance Institute tweeted pictures of Jimenez loosening up his shoulders with a resistance band before the round. He looks primed to play golf—or ride a wild mustang through the royal polo grounds. He might do both. You never know.

Also spotted at St. Andrews on Thursday morning was Jimenez's ever-present cigar tucked in a custom tee holder. He refuses to tee off with cigar in mouth out of fairness to other players.
As of this writing, Jimenez sits at one over through four holes.
Just one day—one day to wake up and live the life of hand-rolled courage and patent leather as Jimenez does. That's all I ask.
