Deion Sanders and Colorado lost their season-opener on Friday, suffering a 27-20 loss to Georgia Tech.
Meanwhile, Shilo Sanders failed to earn a spot on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 53-man roster as an undrafted free agent, getting released by the team on Sunday.

Deion, Shedeur and Shilo all operated in different roles for Colorado during its impressive 2024 season. The Buffaloes finished with a 9-4 record, a quick turnaround after the program compiled a 1-11 finish just two years prior.
Shedeur threw for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns compared to 10 interceptions, finishing No. 8 in Heisman Trophy voting. As for Shilo, his 67 tackles were the third-most on the team. He also recorded two tackles for loss and two passes defensed.
The Sanders family could bounce back soon, though.
Deion and Colorado will have an opportunity to respond to Friday's loss to Georgia Tech with three of its next four games at home. The Buffaloes finished with a record of 5-1 at Folsom Field in 2024.
Shilo also teased a potential move to the entertainment industry in a video thanking the Buccaneers for giving him an opportunity in training camp.
