With Ford stunned, Gacy and Lumis combined to hit their suplex/powerbomb finisher, which they've dubbed The Plague.
Since resurfacing in May, The Wyatt Sicks have run roughshod over the SmackDown tag team division, attacking the other teams on multiple occasions and leaving a path of destruction in their wake.
They immediately made it clear that the tag team titles were in their crosshairs, and they got their chance to vie for them on the July 11 episode of SmackDown when they went up against The Street Profits.
Lumis and Gacy represented The Wyatt Sicks in that match, and they were victorious, bringing championship gold to the family for the first time.
Ford and Angel Dawkins immediately set their sights on winning the titles back, and they were part of a six-way TLC match at SummerSlam, which The Wyatt Sicks won to retain.
Since SummerSlam, The Street Profits have been locked in, as they won three consecutive matches on SmackDown to earn another title opportunity.
It started with a victory over DIY on the Aug. 15 episode of SmackDown, followed by a win against MFT members JC Mateo and Tonga Loa the following week.
The Miz and Carmelo Hayes were also winning matches concurrently, setting the stage for a No. 1 contender's match on SmackDown this past Friday.
Before the match, Bo Dallas approached both The Street Profits and Melo Don't Miz. Dallas, who was not wearing his usual Uncle Howdy garb, made his best attempt to play mind games with both teams.
Despite that, The Street Profits prevailed to become the new No. 1 contenders, but they were unable to parlay that into a championship win at Clash in Paris.
