Micah Parsons' Cowboys Jerseys on Sale in Photo After Stunning Trade to Packers

The markdowns have officially begun after the Dallas Cowboys traded star Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers.

The Athletic's Jon Machota shared a photo of Parsons' jerseys being sold for nearly $100 less than their original price at Dallas' team shop in Frisco, Texas:

Everyone was aware of the standoff between Parsons and the Cowboys over a long-term extension. Sure, a trade was one way for this situation to be resolved, but that didn't lessen the shock of Dallas actually shipping him out of town.

The Cowboys got back defensive tackle Kenny Clark and first-round picks in 2026 and 2027, while the Packers almost immediately tied Parsons down with a new contract reportedly worth up to $188 million.

Dallas fans have lived in a state of angst for decades now. The team hasn't reached the NFC title game since 1995.

With the Parsons trade, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones may have finally pushed the fanbase over the edge.

Residual anger over the move is unlikely to subside for a while because there will be subtle reminders that Parsons, a four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro in the prime of his career, no longer plays for the Cowboys.

It's small things like walking into a store and seeing his gear on sale. Once it's game day in Week 1, a lot of people will reach into their closet to grab a No. 11 Cowboys jersey — Parsons was the ninth-highest seller in the NFL — only to realize it's outdated. Calendars for 2026 are already available and take one guess as to the player spotlighted in February for Dallas.

There's also the fact Parsons and the Packers will be traveling to AT&T Stadium on Sept. 28.

Of course, it's tough to imagine a better time if you're someone who hates the Cowboys and loves schadenfreude. Paying 30 bucks for one of Parsons' jerseys might be awfully tempting right now.
