Super Bowl 60 Odds After Packers Land Micah Parsons in Trade with Cowboys

Scott PolacekAug 28, 2025

The Green Bay Packers made a major splash by trading for Micah Parsons on Thursday, and their Super Bowl odds reacted accordingly.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Dallas traded the pass-rusher to Green Bay, which then agreed to a four-year, $188 million deal with the 26-year-old. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported the Packers gave up two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

As a result, there are just four teams with better Super Bowl odds on DraftKings Sportsbook, as of Thursday at 5:30 p.m. ET.

The Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens are +600 (bet $100 to win $600), the Philadelphia Eagles are +700, the Kansas City Chiefs are +850, and the Packers are +1,400. By comparison, the Dallas Cowboys are +6,500.

That is quite the shift from before the trade:

Green Bay has been to the playoffs in five of the last six years and was considered a contender even before this trade.

But this changes everything for the defense and makes the NFC North squad a much more formidable threat to lift the Lombardi Trophy.

The Packers didn't have a single player with more than 7.5 sacks last season. While the collective pass-rush was solid and actually finished eighth in the league in total sacks, there wasn't a game-changing presence that opposing offensive lines had to worry about on every snap.

Now they tout one of the best defensive players in the league.

That will help the entire pass-rush that was already solid, as double teams on Parsons will open up more one-on-one opportunities for the team's other edge rushers. The result could be a dominant defense that controls games and puts Jordan Love and the offense in an ideal position to score with favorable field position.

Emerging from the NFC will be anything but easy, as the Eagles are the reigning champions and the measuring stick for the rest of the conference. What's more, six of the top nine teams in terms of championship odds reside in the NFC.

The only three from the AFC from that group have Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes as their quarterbacks.

Elite quarterbacks are still the biggest difference-makers, as evidenced by these odds, but the Packers now have one of the ideal counters to such quarterback play. Parsons can overwhelm opposing offenses and slow down even the best in the league, which should put Green Bay in position to challenge for that title.
