Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford Fight Hyped in Netflix Trailer Ahead of Bout
The most exciting boxing match of the year is just over two weeks away, as Canelo Alvarez will put his undisputed super middleweight title on the line against former undisputed welterweight champion Terence Crawford on Sept. 13.
The fight will be broadcast live on Netflix, and the streaming giant dropped a 90-second trailer on Wednesday to hype the upcoming matchup:
Alvarez has a record of 63-2-2 across his legendary career, with his only losses coming against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2013 and undisputed light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol in 2022. He unified the super middleweight titles in 2021, and he returned to undisputed status in May after defeating William Scull to reclaim the IBF belt.
However, Crawford will be the most dangerous boxer Alvarez has faced in quite some time. In 41 fights, the 37-year-old is undefeated with 31 knockouts. He will be fighting for the first time since defeating Israil Madrimov in August 2024 in his move up to light middleweight.
Netflix is continuing to establish itself as a destination for major combat sports events, and fans will be gathering in droves to stream the exciting matchup between Alvarez and Crawford next month.
