The park currently serves as the home of the Athletics' Triple-A affiliate, the Las Vegas Aviators. It also hosted the MLB club for two spring training games this season against the Arizona Diamondbacks on March 8 and 9.
Construction on the A's new stadium in Las Vegas began in May, followed by a groundbreaking ceremony featuring team owner John Fisher, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred and other club officials at the site on June 23.
The 33,000-seat stadium, which is expected to cost around $2 billion by the time it's all done, is on track to be ready for the start of the 2028 season.
After the Athletics' stadium lease with the city of Oakland expired at the end of last season, the club has been playing home games at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento. The stadium also serves as the home for the San Francisco Giants' Double-A affiliate.
The A's will continue to play home games in Sacramento through the 2027 season. They are 61-72 overall this season, with a 27-37 record in Sacramento.
