The rivalry between Lynch and Bella started a few weeks ago on Raw when Nikki interrupted a promo during which The Man was bragging about her win over Lyra Valkyria at SummerSlam.

That led to a war of words between Bella and Lynch with Nikki calling Becky a disappointment and Becky hitting Nikki with some low blows by mentioning her failed relationship with John Cena and the fact that her scenes were removed from Happy Gilmore 2.

Rather than committing to a match with Bella right then and there, Lynch defended the women's IC title the next two weeks on Raw against Maxxine Dupri and Natalya.

Following her successful defense over Natalya on the Aug. 18 episode of Raw, Becky attacked Nattie, prompting Nikki to run down and make the save for her longtime friend and former Total Divas castmate.

One week later on Raw, Lynch and Bella engaged in another war of words with the WWE Hall of Famer telling Becky she reeked of desperation, and suggesting The Man was afraid to put her title on the line.

While Lynch initially turned down Bella's Women's Intercontinental Championship challenge, she ultimately accepted before attempting to catch Nikki by surprise with an attack.

However, Bella caught Becky's foot when she attempted to kick her and laid The Man out, prompting Lynch to retreat.

Nikki held up the women's IC title much to the delight of the fans in Birmingham, England, and then threw it at Lynch as she shouted and complained outside the ring.

While Bella posed a huge threat to Lynch and her reign, Becky managed to retain at Clash in Paris, allowing her to maintain bragging rights over the women's division.
