Jalen Milroe Will Have Plays in Seahawks' Weekly Game Plan, HC Mike Macdonald Says
Seattle Seahawks rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe will be playing behind starting signal-caller Sam Darnold this year, but he's still set to see some action during the 2025 season.
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters on Monday that Milroe will have a package of plays in Seattle's offensive game plan each week.
"We're gonna have plays for Jalen in game plans, and he's gonna rep those with the 1s," Macdonald said (14:00 mark). "However we build the package for him going into games, he needs those reps in walkthrough and full speed, so that's gonna be important."

Milroe was known for his dual-threat abilities coming out of Alabama. He played in all three of Seattle's preseason games and threw for 255 yards while adding 87 rushing yards.
Macdonald made it clear that Darnold's preparation will by the team's priority, but Milroe will have the opportunity to make an impact when needed.
"How we do it, who gets how many reps, obviously Sam, it starts with how many reps he needs to get ready and then we kind of work off from there," Macdonald said.
