A humbled Beckham was speechless upon receiving his award, as ESPN showed with his acceptance speech:
Beckham's catch came in Week 12 of the 2014 NFL season in just the seventh game of his rookie season. Going into the second quarter, the Giants were leading the Cowboys 7-3 when quarterback Eli Manning launched a bomb down the right sideline toward Beckham.
With Brandon Carr draped on him, Beckham made an astounding one-handed catch despite the pass interference for the 43-yard touchdown pass. Here is a replay of the defining moment of Beckham's rookie season:

ESPN's Dan Graziano agreed Beckham's catch was something special:
New York went on to lose that game 31-28 as they underwent a 6-10 season. But Beckham showed he was ready to become a superstar, recording 91 receptions for 1,305 yards in just 12 games on his way to winning the Offensive Player of the Year award.
