Predicting WWE Clash in Paris 2025 Winners, Surprise Returns and More

Erik BeastonAug 25, 2025

WWE returns to France on Sunday for Clash in Paris, its latest premium live event in front of a hot European crowd.

John Cena will headline the show against former United States champion Logan Paul, while Seth Rollins defends his World Heavyweight Championship in a star-studded Fatal 4-Way match.

Sprinkle in a Good Old-Fashioned Donnybrook and an appearance from Roman Reigns, and you have a loaded card for the French fans.

Who will emerge victorious from the show and what, if any, surprises could fans expect? Find out with this preview, including predictions for all announced matches, of WWE's latest PLE.

Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed

1 of 5
Monday Night RAW

Since teaming with Jey Uso to defeat Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker in the opening match of SummerSlam, Roman Reigns has found himself on the receiving end of beatdowns courtesy of The Auszilla.

In both instances, Reed has stolen The Tribal Chief's shoes, wearing them around his neck like a badge of honor or a shoe-la fala.

Sunday in Paris, Reigns will look to gain a measure of revenge while simultaneously taking out one of the biggest obstacles in his path toward revenge and a showdown with Seth Rollins.

He will get that revenge, defeating his mammoth opponent in a match that should have the fans in Paris out of their seats. It would not be surprising to see this one open up the show and end with Reigns picking up a big win and continuing his rivalry with The Vision.

Win or lose, this is a huge opportunity for Reed, who has a history of seizing his chances and delivering.

Prediction: Reigns

Good Old-Fashioned Donnybrook: Sheamus vs. Rusev

2 of 5
Monday Night RAW

On the surface, this is a specialty match type for Sheamus and one that The Celtic Warrior should win.

Rusev is still finding his feet following his return after WrestleMania 41, though, and could use the momentum that would come from such a victory, at a point when the Irishman is relatively bulletproof regarding his popularity.

The brutes have traded victories, with their last meeting ending in a double count-out. With no rules and weapons encouraged in Paris, expect to see one of the most physical bouts of either man's career.

Sheamus and Rusev will bring the hard-hitting offense they have become synonymous with, and one man will emerge victorious to bring an end to their heated rivalry.

That man will be The Bulgarian Brute, for whom it would appear the creative team has more plans for than his opponent.

Prediction: Rusev

Fatal 4-Way Match for World Heavyweight Championship

3 of 5
Monday Night RAW

Since his heel turn at WrestleMania and his shocking Money in the Bank cash-in at SummerSlam, world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins has made enemies of some of the most popular Superstars on the WWE roster.

In Paris, he will come face-to-face with three of those men when he defends his title against CM Punk, LA Knight and Jey Uso in a Fatal 4-Way match.

The issues between Rollins and Punk extend even beyond the latter's return to the company in November 2023, and they have served as the foundation for both competitors' recent main event runs.

Knight's issues with Rollins date back to Money in the Bank, when The Megastar was moments away from winning the coveted briefcase, only to have The Visionary's associates, Reed and Breakker, cost him the match.

Uso has been at odds with the heel faction at different points this summer, standing alongside Punk and his cousin, Reigns, in the battle against them.

While the odds are stacked against Rollins and all signs point to them being too much for him to overcome, expect copious amounts of interference, chicanery, perhaps even an appearance from Reigns.

However, The Architect will somehow emerge with his title reign intact and his run atop of Raw as its centerpiece bad guy continuing.

Prediction: Rollins worms his way to victory

John Cena vs. Logan Paul

4 of 5
SmackDown

Logan Paul may have gotten the better of John Cena Friday night on SmackDown but make no mistake about it: The Unseen 17 is not rolling into Paris to lose to the YouTuber-turned-wrestler.

The verbal back-and-forth has been more entertaining than expected, and the athletes' knack for showmanship should result in a better-than-expected match.

France's last opportunity to see Cena in the squared circle means the crowd will be red-hot, creating another magical moment for WWE across social media, while Paul is a detestable enough heel to ensure the crowd is overwhelmingly in Cena's corner.

The former United States champion will get his offense in and probably even shine in a trending moment of his own, but the match ends one way: with an Attitude Adjustment and Cena standing tall to wrap things up.

Whether that is the end of his night remains to be seen.

Prediction: Cena wins

Surprise Appearance: Brock Lesnar

5 of 5
WWE - 2025 SummerSlam

Brock Lesnar has not been seen or heard from since attacking Cena in the closing moments of SummerSlam and drawing an array of reactions in MetLife Stadium and across social media.

With SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis revealing he has heard from Lesnar ahead of the Paris event suggests The Beast Incarnate may make his presence felt Sunday, perhaps setting up the expected showdown with Cena as soon as Wrestlepalooza on September 20 on ESPN.

That match would bring great interest and serve as the perfect first headlining bout for the company's debut on its new streaming home.

Furthermore, it would result in an explosive reaction for Lesnar in Paris. The setup for the PLE match and the unforgettable moment make an appearance from The Beast the most likely surprise on Sunday.
