NFL fans were thrilled to see him experience the moment:
Owens started his college career at Contra Costa Community College in 2018 and transferred to Florida Atlantic after one season. Following a two-year spell with FAU, he moved to Missouri State, where he eventually emerged as a big-play threat.
As a senior in 2023, the 6'3" wideout had 28 catches for 528 yards and four touchdowns.
Owens signed with the 49ers, where his dad started his NFL career, as an undrafted free agent in May 2024. San Francisco released him that August before bringing him back to the practice squad in October.
Owens appeared in all three of the Niners' 2025 preseason clashes and had one catch for 17 yards in their 22-19 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
