Paul quickly spoiled the proceedings and delivered some rude comments for the fans.

Paul turned his attention to Cena and notably called him an actor who knows how to wrestle.

Cena then went to work. He said Paul was using the WWE as a "branding opportunity," pushing a ringside table of Paul's PRIME energy drinks in the process to accentuate his point.

Cena noted his own 23 years on the WWE main roster, while Paul has just 23 matches to his name.

Cena called Paul a "parasite."

Cena also played to the fans, giving them their deserved credit and calling WWE "their world."

Paul didn't take kindly to Cena's remarks and shoved the legend. He tried to take a swing, too, but Cena fought back and then delivered an Attitude Adjustment to the approval of the crowd.

At the end of the show, SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis spoke with Cena and told him he just got off the phone with Brock Lesnar, who infamous attacked him at the end of SummerSlam.

All of the sudden, Paul appeared behind Aldis and struck Cena, knocking him out before running into the night.

Clash in Paris will take place on Sunday, Aug. 31.
