Several major matches are reportedly set to be added to WWE's Clash in Paris premium live event, which is scheduled for Aug. 31 in Nanterre, France.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestleTalk), WWE has internally listed Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship, Sami Zayn vs. Solo Sikoa for the United States Championship and Becky Lynch vs. Nikki Bella for the Women's Intercontinental Championship as matches that will take place at Clash in Paris.

The rivalry between Rhodes and McIntyre started a couple of weeks ago when Cody teamed with John Cena against McIntyre and Logan Paul in the main event of SmackDown.

It ended in a disqualification when Paul hit Cena with a low blow ahead of their match at Clash in Paris. McIntyre took advantage of the chaos by attacking Rhodes and putting him through the front of the announce table with a Claymore.

Zayn recently made the move from Raw to SmackDown, confronting Sikoa and his My Family Tree stable in the process.

MFT interfered in Zayn's match against Rusev on a recent episode of Raw and attacked him, which prompted Zayn to switch over the SmackDown and renew his rivalry with Solo, who used to be his Bloodline stablemate.

A couple of weeks ago on Raw, Bella confronted Lynch, leading to scathing war of words that includes Becky taking shots at Nikki's past relationship with Cena and the fact that she barely appeared in Happy Gilmore 2.

Bella saved Maxxine Dupri from an attack at the hands of Lynch two weeks later, forcing The Man to retreat in the process.

Since the Women's World Championship match at Clash in Paris is in flux after Naomi had to relinquish the title due to being pregnant, adding a huge women's title match such as Lynch vs. Bella to the card would undoubtedly fill a gap.

Danhausen's Character Reportedly Admired By The Rock

Amid rumors and speculation about his future, Danhausen reportedly has at least one massive fan in WWE.

According to Meltzer (h/t WrestlePurists), some in WWE enjoy Danhausen's comedic gimmick, including The Rock, who is said to have been a "big fan" of Danhausen's character when he was on the rise on the independent scene.

The Rock is not only a legendary WWE Superstar, but he is part of the TKO board of directors, which presumably gives him the pull to call for the signing of a wrestler if he feels strongly enough about them.

For now, Danhausen remains under contract with AEW, and Fightful Select (h/t Cultaholic.com's Aidan Gibbons) reported that AEW added time to his contract. It was reportedly supposed to expire on July 1 originally, but he is instead still under an AEW deal until "well into 2026."

It is reportedly believed that Danhausen asked AEW to not pick up the option in his contract if it didn't have plans to utilize him, but the deal was extended nonetheless.

Although he made an appearance at Final Battle back in December 2024 for the AEW-owned ROH brand, Danhausen has not wrestled a match under the AEW umbrella since an ROH taping in February 2024.

Still, Danhausen is extremely popular and well-booked on the independent scene, and it is easy to understand why WWE may potentially have some interest in him once he becomes available.

While Danhausen isn't considered an elite in-ring worker or someone who is going to contend for a major world title, his character has been over with fans and something of a viral sensation for several years.

Because of that, he could be a good fit for WWE in NXT or as a lower-card wrestler on the main roster who can deliver entertaining backstage segments on a regular basis.

Rumors on Jericho's Expected WWE Return

There is reportedly a growing sentiment in both AEW and WWE that Chris Jericho could make his WWE return in 2026.

According to Meltzer (h/t WrestleTalk), there are people in AEW who expect Jericho to go back to WWE and be a surprise entrant in the 2026 men's Royal Rumble match in January.

Meltzer added that those in WWE also expect him to come in, potentially in January, although they aren't certain if AEW president Tony Khan will make a play to keep Jericho in the fold.

Per WrestleVotes (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), there is "a lot of enthusiasm" in WWE for the idea of Jericho returning, and a deal is "expected to be completed" once he becomes a free agent.

Jericho is one of the most accomplished wrestlers of all time, best known for his runs with WCW from 1996 to 1999, WWE on and off from 1999 to 2018 and AEW from 2019 to present.

In WWE, Jericho was a six-time world champion and record nine-time intercontinental champion, and he was known for re-inventing himself time and time again, and thriving as both a heel and a face.

To the surprise of many, Jericho was one of the first major signings announced by AEW in 2019, and given his name recognition, it is perhaps fair to suggest that he played a major role in AEW getting off the ground and landing a television deal.

As a result, Jericho was AEW's inaugural world champion, and he was one of the top and most heavily featured stars in the promotion for its first few years.

Things have changed over the past year or two, though, with Jericho settling into more of a midcard role. His most recent character as leader of the Learning Tree didn't seem to land with fans either.

It is fair to wonder if the 54-year-old veteran has much left in the tank from an in-ring and overall performance perspective, but a move back to WWE could conceivably breathe more life into Jericho.

At the very least, there would be value in the signing for WWE since it would allow the company to produce Jericho-related merchandise for the first time in years and to induct him into the Hall of Fame.
