He followed it up by getting some revenge on Paul Heyman in the middle of the ring:
It was later reported that Reigns was taken to the hospital:
Amid Reigns' rivalry with Seth Rollins, Reed has become a nuisance to The OTC over the past couple of months, attacking him on numerous occasions and adding insult to injury.
Earlier this year at WrestleMania 41, Reigns and CM Punk lost a Triple Threat match to Rollins when Heyman turned on both Reigns and Punk in favor of aligning with The Visionary.
On the ensuing episode of Raw, Reigns was brutally attacked by Rollins and Bron Breakker, who joined forces with Rollins for the first time that night.
The attack put Reigns on the shelf for about three months until he returned to WWE programming in July by saving Punk and Jey Uso from a beat-down at the hands of Reed and Breakker.
Reigns and Uso went on to beat Breakker and Reed in a tag team match at SummerSlam, but the conflict between Reigns and Rollins' group was far from over.
The Tribal Chief remained the target of the villainous stable, and Reed was especially aggressive in his attempts to injure and embarrass Reigns.
On two separate occasions, The Aus-Zilla hit Reigns with multiple Tsunami splashes and stole his shoes for good measure. Reed then began wearing the shoes around his neck during appearances on Raw.
Reed referred to the shoe necklace as the "Shoe-La-Fala" in reference to Reigns' Ula Fala, which signifies his status as the leader of his family. Reed also mocked Reigns' Tribal Chief moniker by calling himself the "Tribal Thief."
Reigns set out to get revenge and teach Reed a lesson at Clash in Paris, and he did precisely that by beating Rollins' enforcer in a highly physical and hard-hitting bout overseas.
