For the fourth consecutive year, the best of AEW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling will converge this weekend for a supershow known as Forbidden Door.

Several major titles will be on the line at Forbidden Door as well, including both the AEW World Championship and IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, which are the top prizes in the respective promotions.

Top Forbidden Door Matches to Watch

"Hangman" Adam Page vs. MJF

In his first pay-per-view title defense since winning the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley at All In, "Hangman" Adam Page will defend against MJF at Forbidden Door.

Page pressured MJF into cashing in his guaranteed title shot at Forbidden Door, but he may have gotten more than he bargained for in doing so.

MJF viciously attacked Page on a recent episode of Dynamite and vowed to win back the title he once held for a record 406 consecutive days.

AEW quickly built up some bad blood between Page and MJF, which should ensure that there is plenty of intensity in their match even though the rivalry just started.

Page and MJF have been two of AEW's biggest and most popular stars since the company's inception, meaning the atmosphere should be great for the first one-on-one match between them since Revolution back in March.

5-on-5 Lights Out Steel Cage Match

Forbidden Door will play host to what could ultimately be one of the most chaotic matches in AEW history.

Multi-man matches pitting star-studded teams against each other are nothing new in AEW, as Anarchy in the Arena, Blood and Guts, and Stadium Stampede have been among the promotion's marquee matches over the years.

However, Forbidden Door will mark the first time AEW has ever delivered a five-on-five steel cage match featuring some of the biggest names in AEW and NJPW.

To make things even more interesting, the cage match is of the "lights out" variety, meaning anything goes and there are no limits to what the combatants can do to each other.

Will Ospreay, Kenny Omega and Darby Allin will all continue their rivalry with The Death Riders and The Young Bucks in the match, plus it will be legendary Japanese star Hiroshi Tanahashi's last-ever match in the United Kingdom, making it an even bigger spectacle than it already was.

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. Killswitch & Kip Sabian

For the first time since 2011, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will be on the same side in a tag team match at Forbidden Door.

While they were initially enemies when Copeland joined AEW, they buried the hatchet by saving each other from attacks, resulting in a hug and a renewed friendship and alliance.

They were slated to face Kip Sabian and Nick Wayne at first, but Wayne had to pull out of the match due to injury, resulting in the return of Killswitch, who was part of Christian's Patriarchy stable.

Cage renamed Luchasaurus to Killswitch and made him do much of his bidding, so he figures to be out for revenge at Forbidden Door.

Dating back to their time in WWE as Edge and Christian, however, Cope and Cage are among the greatest tag teams in pro wrestling history, and there is a great deal of anticipation surrounding them teaming up and winning, just like the old days.
