Angel Reese Talks Injury Return, Says It 'Sucks' to Be on Minutes Restriction for Sky
Chicago Sky star Angel Reese returned to action on Tuesday for the first time since late July after dealing with a back injury, but she was still limited in how much she could play.
She was on a minutes restriction that allowed her just 25 minutes on the court, something she wasn't a fan of.
"I was trying to control what I can control tonight," Reese told reporters after the game. "I was only supposed to play 25 minutes, and that sucks. I'm not a player that wants to be on a restriction of any kind. But I did what I could do to try and help the team win."
Reese made the most of her time on the floor, posting 19 points and seven boards, but it wasn't enough as the Sky fell to the Seattle Storm 94-88. Reese is having a strong second season in the WNBA, putting up 14.2 points and 12.6 boards per game.
While Chicago will get a boost from Reese, the Sky will have to play their best basketball to close out the season. They're currently on the brink of being eliminated from the playoffs at 8-26 on the season.
