Xavier Worthy Reacts to Viral Taylor Swift Video with Kelce About Chiefs Drafting WR

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy has a new contingent of fans after pop star Taylor Swift name-dropped him during her podcast appearance with her boyfriend and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

In a viral moment from Swift's appearance on New Heights, she revealed that she was "freaking out" when the Chiefs drafted Worthy with the 28th pick in 2024. Worthy reacted to Swift's story in a new TikTok video.

"That's crazy," Worthy said with a smile. "I ain't gonna lie, she's the biggest pop star in this generation, so it's crazy to have somebody running around the house screaming we drafted you. That's tight. That's what's up."

Swift was explaining how her football fandom has completely changed since she began dating Kelce two years ago.

Worthy finished his rookie season with 59 catches for 638 yards and six touchdowns plus three rushing touchdowns. During Kansas City's postseason run that ended with a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, he led the team with 19 catches, 287 yards and three receiving touchdowns.

Worthy is expected to have an even bigger year in 2025, so Swift's excitement over him landing with the Chiefs was definitely warranted.
