Saints' Tyler Shough Fails To Impress NFL Fans vs. Lawrence, Jaguars with Hunter Out
Tyler Shough's first preseason start for the New Orleans Saints did not produce the results that he and fans of the NFC South side would have hoped.
The rookie put together a 9-for-12 line with 66 yards, but he led the Saints to just three points, while the Jacksonville Jaguars posted a 17-spot in the first half inside the Superdome.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Shough's most notable pass was a 28-yard completion to tight end Treyton Welch on the Saints' lone scoring drive of the first half.
Shough was outplayed by both Trevor Lawrence and Nick Mullens. Lawrence went 8-for-10 for 76 yards in his brief stint on the field.
Lawrence did not have Travis Hunter at his disposal. The No. 2 overall pick did not suit up for the Jaguars.
Shough will have one more chance to impress the Saints staff, as will Spencer Rattler, in the final preseason game on Saturday against the Denver Broncos. Jacksonville finishes its preseason slate versus the Miami Dolphins on Saturday.
