Jets Insider Says Breece Hall Will Seek Contract Similar to James Cook, Kyren Williams
New York Jets running back Breece Hall may look to the contracts for Buffalo Bills' James Cook and Los Angeles Rams' Kyren Williams when it's time for him to secure his own payout, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini.
"If he can deliver a good season, he will look for a deal similar to Cook's and Williams' contracts," Cimini wrote. "It might be too rich for the Jets, especially with so many other key players up for new contracts."
Williams got $33 million, with $23 million guaranteed, over three years from the Rams earlier this month. Cook followed up by signing for four years and $46 million, which includes $28.8 million guaranteed.

In terms of average salary, the pair are only separated by $500,000.
From a contract perspective, Hall didn't want to entertain comparisons to Cook and Williams because "they've done much more in this league than I have."
That's a candid and honest admission. Cook and Williams are both coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons, which is a benchmark Hall has yet to meet. They've also been named to the Pro Bowl, another achievement he hasn't registered.
Should everything click for Hall in 2025, though, he will have a strong case to angle for $11 million or more per season on his next contract.
Focusing solely on his rushing numbers ignores his value as a pass-catcher. Between 2023 and 2024, he had 133 receptions for 1,074 yards and seven touchdowns.
At 24, Hall is also younger than both Cook and Williams. The former will turn 26 in September, while the latter celebrates his 25th birthday later this month.
Maybe the price to retain the 5'11" ball-carrier will prove to be too much for New York, but another suitor should be waiting in the wings if he makes the most of his obvious talent in the year ahead.
