Pete Carroll Hails Ashton Jeanty, Says RB 'Looked Tough as Hell' for Raiders vs. 49ers
Ashton Jeanty showed off some of his upside during Saturday's preseason tilt against the San Francisco 49ers, rushing seven times for 33 yards and a touchdown, which included a bulldozing run that left Deommodore Lenoir chewing on grass.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
And that had Las Vegas Raiders' coaches and players feeling pretty excited.
"Jeanty looked tough as hell," head coach Pete Carroll told reporters.
"It fires me up just seeing the way [Jeanty] runs," quarterback Geno Smith added. "He's running through people, and he's not shying away from contact. He's going to be a special player."
The Raiders invested heavily in Jeanty, selecting him with the No. 6 overall pick at April's NFL draft. In the modern NFL, that's a steep price to pay at the position, but Carroll has always favored a ground-and-pound philosophy on offense, and Jeanty showed his ability to bring the boom on Saturday. Thus far, it feels like a great fit.
