Little League World Series 2025 Saturday Scores, Bracket Results and Highlights

Joseph ZuckerAug 16, 2025

The Little League Baseball World Series continued Saturday in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, though Mother Nature didn't exactly cooperate.

Inclement weather disrupted the first of four games on the day and created a logjam for the rest of the schedule.

Survival is the name of the game as all eight teams in action have suffered a loss and were one more away from elimination.

Saturday Recap

Illinois 3, Pennsylvania 2

Illinois pushed across three runs in the third inning and held on from there, defeating Pennsylvania 3-2 on Saturday.

Brody Herold was the hero, giving up just six hits, two walks and two runs in six innings, largely shutting down Pennsylvania in a complete-game effort. He also had an RBI at the dish, helping his own cause.

Matthew Kalish added an RBI in the victory.

Illinois will next face Hawaii in the lower half of the bracket. Pennsylvania has been eliminted.

Mexico 11, Puerto Rico 5

Mexico found itself down 4-0 after three innings on Saturday, as Azariel Alvarado Medina's two-run homer capped off a four-run bottom of the third.

But Mexico finished the game on an 11-1 tear, led by Gregorio Madrid's ridiculous game, which included a grand slam, a three-run homer and seven total RBI.

It was one of the truly great offensive showings in Little League World Series history, and was back by Iker Castaneda and Luis Sanchez combining to give up just four hits and one run in three innings of relief work from the mound.

Castaneda also blasted a two-run homer.

Mexico will now face Panama on the bottom half of the international bracket, while Puerto Rico's time in Williamsport is over.

Massachusetts 7, Texas 3

Texas opened its matchup with Massachusetts on Saturday with two runs in the top of the first inning. The team from New England seized control from there.

Massachusetts responded with three runs in the bottom of the first and didn't trail from there, beating Texas 7-3 and keeping itself alive in the lower half of the bracket.

Caden McCarthy and Sam Trotta each had a pair of RBI for the winners, while Frankie Fasoli III earned the win, giving up eight hits, two walks and three runs in 4.1 innings, fanning three.

Massachusetts will now face Washington (Northwest) as it looks to remain in Williamsport. Texas has been eliminated from the LLWS.

Australia 5, Czechia 3

A series of self-inflicted errors sent the Czechia team packing from the Little League World Series as Australia won 5-3.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the first, Mikulas Barta allowed three runs in the space of one at-bat. Harper Lokeni and Xander Reid scored on a pair of wild pitches, while Issei Hamano came home on a passed ball.

In the next inning, Barta gave up a pair of walks with the bags full as Australia's lead swelled to four runs.

Czechia ate into the deficit when Serafym Ustinov was hit by a pitch in the top of the fifth but couldn't muster much more.

While Hamano and Averey Griffin combined to walk six batters, they had a no-hitter going into the sixth before David Caha singled into center field.

Czechia loaded the bases to bring the go-ahead to the plate before Preston Reid escaped the jam and sealed the win. He struck out David Prokes and then watched a fly ball to center turn into a double play thanks to a mixup on the bags. Mikulas Balog broke from second thinking the runner on third was tagging. Instead, he got caught in no man's land and was tagged out.

It was a heartbreaking way for Czechia's run in Williamsport to come to a close.
